Today marks the day...

Hello. My name is Rachel. I have been wanting to start a blog for quite some time these days. It's always tough to figure out how to begin, what to talk about, what not to talk about, who to mention, who not to mention... what will make people want to continue to read my blog. All of these questions, I still have yet to find the right answers to, but I am just going to go off instinct and hope it goes well.
Guess you'd like to know a bit about my past, in order to understand present me. I was born in Sheridan, WY. Immediately after that, my family and I moved to Heidelberg, Germany, where I lived for 8 years. When we moved back to the states we first lived in Tintin Falls, NJ for only 6 months and then to this unfortunate city called Tucson, AZ. I say unfortunate because it's temperatures are awful and if I were my parents, I would never have stepped foot in this city. See, I grew up around snow, cold, rain, forests. Cactus and hot hot hot heat, is not my idea of great weather. My father was in the military for most of my childhood, until we left New Jersey, because he had a heart attack "running" one rainy day..
My parents were divorced in 2004 due to infidelity on my father's part. He immediately was remarried and my mother found her true love, thanks to my father, in a way. Tee Hee. Anyway, since their divorce I have gotten by. When I graduated from high school, my parent's weren't very involved with my life, so I became a major party animal and a temporary slut. Drinking and sex went hand in hand to me between the ages of 18-20. I met my husband when I was 20 years old, we have pretty much been inseparable since. We've had our ups and downs, as any married couple, but these days all we care about is our children.
We found out we were pregnant Christmas Day 2008; we waited intentionally till then to find out. We didn't find out that we were having twin boys until I was 7 months pregnant. We didn't have the proper insurance to cover an ultrasound until then, believe me it was stressful. Now our boys are nearly a year old and we can't believe this time went by so fast. It's wonderful having these two boys around though. They are identical, but they have such unique personalities. I am a stay at home mommy, so my primary goal is to make them happy 24 hours a day. I am proud to do it too. I miss my husband throughout the days. But that's what the boys and this blog are for, right? :)
I plan to throw out more details of my effed up family/past later. I hope that you visit again to see more. It's pretty entertaining. I will also be throwing my opinions on politics and the world in general out there as well, when need be.
